Terms of Use
Effective 5 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Aksel Olsen, Denmark ("we", "us"), for the use of the Nudge iOS app. By using Nudge you accept them.
1. Apple's licence agreement
Nudge is distributed through the App Store and is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to it. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement wins for anything it covers. Apple is not responsible for Nudge or for supporting it; we are.
2. What Nudge is
Nudge gives you one small social challenge at a time, chosen from a human-written catalog, and adjusts the difficulty based on your answers. It records your progress as points, levels, and a growing tree. The challenges are suggestions. Whether, when, and how you attempt any of them is entirely your decision.
3. Nudge is not therapy
Nudge is a self-guided practice tool. It is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If social anxiety or any other condition is seriously affecting your life, please speak to a doctor or a mental health professional. If you are in crisis or in danger, contact your local emergency services immediately.
4. Using challenges safely
Every challenge involves other people. When you attempt one you agree to:
- treat the other person with respect and accept "no", silence, or disinterest gracefully;
- read the situation and skip a challenge that does not fit the place, the moment, or the person;
- stop at any time if you or anyone else is uncomfortable;
- never use a challenge as an excuse to harass, pressure, follow, or deceive anyone;
- obey the law and the rules of wherever you are.
You are responsible for your own actions and their consequences. We are not.
5. Who can use Nudge
You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it. You need an Apple Account to sign in, and you are responsible for keeping your device and account secure.
6. Subscriptions
Nudge lets you complete a first challenge for free. Continuing requires a subscription.
- Plans. We offer a weekly and an annual subscription. The price for your country is shown in the app and in the App Store before you buy, and payment is charged to your Apple Account.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the price shown at purchase, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel any time in your iPhone's Settings under your name, then Subscriptions, or from Profile, Subscription in the app. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer under Danish or EU law.
- Price changes. If we change a price, Apple will tell you in advance and ask you to agree before the new price applies.
- Restoring. Use "Restore Purchases" in the app to bring an active subscription to a new device signed in with the same Apple Account.
7. Your account and your data
How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You can delete your account at any time from Profile, Settings. Deleting your account removes your progress permanently and does not cancel an active subscription.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer the app, interfere with its servers, attempt to access another person's data, tamper with points, difficulty, or subscription status, or copy the challenge catalog for use elsewhere.
9. Our content
The app, its design, its artwork, and the catalog of challenges are ours or licensed to us and are protected by copyright. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Nudge on Apple devices you own or control, as set out in Apple's agreement. Nothing else is transferred to you.
10. Changes to Nudge and to these terms
We may change, add, or remove features, and we may stop offering Nudge altogether. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Nudge after that means you accept the change. If you do not, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.
11. Ending the agreement
You can end it at any time by deleting your account and the app. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms. Sections 3, 4, 9, 12, and 13 survive.
12. No guarantees, limited liability
Nudge is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will produce any particular result for you.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for anything that happens as a result of attempting a challenge. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the laws of Denmark, the European Union, or the country where you live, and nothing excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are heard by the courts of Denmark. If you live in another EU country you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of that country and bring a claim there. We would much rather sort things out directly, so please contact us first.
